Therapy & Med Management

During this 45-50 minute appointment, we will work with the patient on both medication and therapy goals*.

We are trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive processing therapy, and motivational interviewing. Therapy will focus on recognizing and changing maladaptive patterns of behavior to improve emotional responses, thoughts, and interactions with others.

*Therapy does not define someone as "ill." Like exercise, good nutrition, and stress reduction, therapy can be about self-improvement and prevention.

Follow-up visit: 45-50 minutes

Medication Management

During this 20 minute appointment, we will focus on medication optimization and discuss the risks and benefits of each proposed treatment plan.

We are conscientious about offering cost-effective treatment plans. Further work-up (e.g. laboratory testing, neuropsychological testing, consultation from another physician) will be ordered only if needed.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy

Sometimes, people “get stuck” and traditional therapy simply isn’t enough. Paula Storrer offers Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), a unique therapeutic modality, which combines psychotherapy with the psychoactive substance, Ketamine.

KAP has allowed people clarity and insight into their struggles in a way that has never been possible before. Patients who have not been able to talk about their past are frequently able to open up, experiencing it as “transcendent,” rather than “traumatizing.”

KAP treatments are 60 minutes, followed by “rest and recovery” in our waiting area. We recommend once or twice a week treatments for 3-6 weeks (total 6 treatments).

Patients wishing to explore KAP must first undergo a medical and psychological initial consult, to determine Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is right for you.
